2025 was marked by the shocking withdrawal of the US as a donor to global health and the further decline in support for international development. It made us feel even more convinced of our mission to contribute to a world where everyone has access to good and affordable healthcare and medicines.
The year overview shows some of the highlights of our work in 2025. For example, we called attention to the importance of tax justice to increase government budgets for healthcare, and to the need for transparency in the pharmaceutical sector to make drug prices fairer. Our Make Way programme achieved impressive results in improving access to sexual and reproductive health and rights for the most vulnerable people.
By collaborating with partners all over the world, sharing insights and concrete solutions, and engaging in dialogue with stakeholders at Dutch, EU and global level, we managed to put key global health topics on the agenda of decision-makers.

These are challenging times for organizations working to build a better world.
